About the Tour

Discover two fascinating sides of ancient Egypt on this private full-day tour combining the magnificent Temple of Dendera and the highlights of Luxor's West Bank.

Your tour begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Luxor. The exact pickup time will be provided before your booking is confirmed. An early start is necessary to comfortably visit both Dendera and the Luxor West Bank during the same day.

Travel in a new, comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle with your own driver and licensed Egyptologist.

You will start the day by driving north to Qena, where you will visit the magnificent Temple of Dendera, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt.

At Dendera, explore the impressive Temple of Hathor, famous for its beautifully preserved reliefs, magnificent columns, astronomical decorations, and the famous Dendera Zodiac.

Your licensed Egyptologist will explain the history of the temple, the goddess Hathor, and the ancient Egyptian beliefs and astronomical knowledge represented throughout its artwork.

After visiting Dendera, you will drive back to the West Bank of Luxor and enjoy a relaxing lunch before continuing with the rest of your tour.

After lunch, continue exploring the West Bank of Luxor, home to some of ancient Egypt's most famous monuments.

You will also have the opportunity to see the Colossi of Memnon, the famous giant statues that once stood at the entrance to the ancient Theban area.
